Oil Desalting Packages

All oil production facilities include a Desalting Package/Unit which typically consists of the following units:

• Economisers in the form of heat exchangers made from Titanium or Hastalloy
• Indirect heaters (to raise temperature to process requirement)
• Single or double stage electrostatic desalters/dehydrators
• Instrumentation and Control systems for the control of electrical equipment and material
• Water treatment packages including IGF or Hydro-Cyclones as well as various types of filters for treatment of the water
• Water injection and pumping facilities
• Water dilution and water deaerators and associated pumping equipment
• Oily water separators and closed drain system
